This story time is extra special, because we’ll be hosting local author Gia Susi, as she reads her book “When the World Feels a Little Scary.” Her book addresses some of the major challenges that children, and their parents, face in the world today. Rather than shy away from tough topics like the tragedies reported daily on TV news broadcasts, school lockdown drills, and losing people close to us, this book helps children navigate the big feelings that may arise from scary events in life. It serves as a reminder that we are not alone and that our children are loved.
